Interior and exterior detailing to keep the whole car looking sharp — done in-house, alongside your tint.
North Carolina law — N.C. General Statute § 20-127. On passenger cars the 35% limit also covers the rear side windows and the rear windshield; windows behind the driver on multipurpose vehicles (SUVs, vans, and pickup trucks) are exempt. Windshield tint is limited to the top of the windshield — no more than five inches down or below the AS-1 line, whichever is longer — film must be nonreflective and may not be red, yellow, or amber, and reflectivity is capped at 20%. VLT is visible light transmission — the lower the number, the darker the film. We install to legal limits and will walk you through your options before any film goes on.
The things drivers ask most after fresh film goes on.
North Carolina's rule is laid out in the tint law band above: 35% VLT MAX on the front side windows — and on passenger cars, the rear side windows and rear windshield too. SUVs, vans, and pickup trucks are exempt on the glass behind the driver. Windshield tint stays above the AS-1 line (or within the top five inches). We'll confirm the legal shade for your vehicle before any film goes on.
Follow the aftercare guidance provided by the installer. Cure time can vary with the film and the weather, so the shop will give you the right timing for your installation.
A hazy look and small water pockets are a normal part of curing — the film is applied wet, and the moisture works its way out as it dries. It clears on its own over the curing period. Don't press on the bubbles; let them dry out.
Automotive window film is normally installed on the inside surface of the glass, where it is protected from weather and road debris.
Use a soft microfiber cloth and a tint-safe cleaner. Avoid abrasive tools, and ask the installer which products they recommend for your specific film.
Yes. The shop can help you balance appearance, privacy, heat control, visibility, and North Carolina's tint laws before installation.
